I've been especially busy lately with contractors and grandkids. But today, I did put together my Kobalt table saw. I plan to get some "test" wood tomorrow to become savvy on its use before I start cutting my valuable seasoned walnut. I'll also likely attempt to true-up the sides on a piece of walnut using a technique described on the internet. I'm also going to have to decide on beveled vs. canted corners. While I still have numerous other projects in the works [my grandson's rc sailboat I'm making for his upcoming birthday and painting the inside of the house], I am anxious to make some headway on this clock-building project and certainly expect to complete it this year. I recently picked-up a set of tall case clock bonnet door hinges on eBay. These are hard to find. One additional item I added to our garage is a dehumidifier. I keep it at a constant 40-45% humidity so the wood stays nice and tight. See photos below from today. Click to enlarge.
