I spent several hours in my freezing cold workshop today working on the dial mask top. I figured this would be tricky and it was. I needed to make little tweaks here and there, and I hope in the end it looks good. It needs to fit perfectly under the hood arches. I only got as far as making the top-most dial mask arch. This was because I needed to do a lot of testing before I committed my walnut pieces to the cutters. Tomorrow I hope to make the bottom cut and also the lap-joints to this top piece and the 2 stiles.
